Grand finale of upGrad ICT Awards 2023

The grand finale programme of ‘ICT Awards 2023’, known as a prestigious award in the field of information and communication technology, was held at The Soaltee Hotel in Kathmandu on Friday, 22nd December.

This year’s ICT Award has 13 different categories, three of which are focused on startups and innovation: the Startup ICT Award, Product ICT Award, and Rising Star and Innovation ICT Award. Individuals are eligible for the Professional Excellence ICT Award, Pioneer ICT Award, Entrepreneur ICT Award, Nepali Diaspora ICT Award, and Women Icon ICT Award.

 Similarly, 4 awards are given to public and private organizations for providing excellent services through the use of technology. These awards fall into the categories of Digital Education ICT Award (Public Sector), Digital Education ICT Award (Private Sector), Digital Governance ICT Award, and Digital Services ICT Award.

There is also the South Asia Startup ICT Award, which is an international award category focusing on entrepreneurship in the South Asian region that includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

More than 800 distinguished people from home and abroad participated in the grand finale of the ICT Award. ICT Award is not just an award program but it has supported the development of digital transformation and ecosystem. The participants believe that the award programme organized every year is encouraging those who want to work in this field. Startups, products and innovations that competed in this award have received opportunities for further investment and market expansion.
