Curfew relaxed in Malangawa

The curfew imposed by the local administrator in Malangawa, the district headquarters of Sarlahi district, has been lifted from Monday.

A meeting of the District Security Committee has decided to lift the curfew with the the situation of Malangawa returning to normal.

Chief District Officer of Sarlahi District Indra Dev Yadav informed that the curfew was lifted from Sunday night as the situation of tension between the two communities subsided. The curfew was imposed in Malangawa to contain the tense situation created after two sides clashed while immersing the idol of Lord Krishna constructed on the occasion of Shree Krishna Janmashtami.
