A high level UML delegation towards China

A high-level delegation of the main opposition CPN (UML) led by General Secretary Shankar Pokharel left for China on Saturday, according to UML Publicity Department sources.

There are 22 leaders including the central members in the delegation that left for the Northern neighbour at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party, said the UML sources.

The visiting team includes party standing committee member and head of the foreign department Dr. Rajan Bhattarai, standing committee member and head of the publicity department Rajendra Gautam, chairman of All Nepal Women’s Association Dukabhadra Hamal, and other central-level leaders. The team will visit the three main cities of China Chongqing, Beijing, and Qinghai for 13 days.

During the visit, matters relating to bilateral relations between Nepal and China and relations between the two communist parties, UML and the Communist Party of China (CPC) will be discussed, a member of the UML Propaganda Department said. During the visit, the UML leaders will get chance to meet with high-level leaders of the Communist Party of China.
