Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal “Prachanda” is likely to visit China towards the end of July. Vice President of ruling CPN-Maoist Centre Agni Sapkota, who has returned to Kathmandu on Friday on completion of two week long visit to China at the invitation of the Chinese Communist Party said here in Kathmandu talking to reporters that he told the CHinese leaders that PM and party chairman Prachanda will visit China towards July end or beginning of August.
Sapkota said he had already discussed Prachanda about his forthcoming China visit before embarking to Beijing. “We discussed with Chinese leaders about providing concessional loan under the Belt and Road Initiative as well as grant assistance for supporting Nepal’s economic development,” he said.
THey also discussed about starting Kathmandu-Lhasa direct flight service to boost bilateral trade, according to Sapkota.
“We also expressed our commitment to one China policy, Non-aligned foreign policy, Principles of Panchasheel and the United Nations Declarations,” said senior Maoist leader Sapkokta. During the visit the Nepalese delegation led by Sapkota met with the Foreign Department chief of the Communist Party of China and other senior leaders.
