Run student enrollment campaign within May: Education Ministry

Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has urged local levels and schools to launch a campaign in order to complete school-level student enrollment campaign within May 30 for the academic session 2080 BS.    

The Centre for Education and Human Resources Development under the Ministry has already issued a circular to start the student enrollment campaign for academic session- 2080 under the theme ‘Timely Enrolment, Timely Education: Quality Education, Campaign of All. In the context of the campaign, a discussion was held involving heads and office-bearers of the Association of District Coordination Committees of Nepal, Municipal Association of Nepal, National Association of Rural Municipalities in Nepal and Education Ministry held on April 13 in presence of Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Ashok Kumar Rai. The meeting had decided to jointly launch the campaign by federation, provinces and local levels to enroll all children above five years to school. 

Janak Education Material Centre and private organisations selected for printing textbooks have been urged to provide textbooks free of cost to students of all community schools in the beginning of the academic session, informed  Ministry Spokesperson Deepak Sharma adding that the local-levels would monitor this.
