Nepal announces the final 14-member for ICC U-19 Men’s World Cup

Nepal has announced the final 14-member squad for the ICC U-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers Asia Region. The tournament will be held from February 24 to March 3 in Ajman, UAE. Aakash Tripathi, Arjun Kumal, Deepak Bohra, Deepak Bohra ‘B’, Uttam Thapamagar, Deepak Dumre, Deepak Kandel, Hemant Dhami, Durgesh Gupta, Gulshan Jha, Dev Khanal, Subash Bhandari, Vishal KC and Milan Bohra made it to Nepal’s U-19 squad. The captain will be selected after some time, informed Coach Jagat Tamata.

In the first phase, 28 players were selected and trained. Prajwal Thapa, Nirmal Thapa, Tul Bahadur Thapa and Rajesh Yadav have been reduced to alternate players. Nepal will compete against UAE, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuwait in the tournament based on round robin league and the winning nation will be selected for the World Cup scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka in 2024. Nepal had failed to qualify for the U-19 World Cup since 2016.
