Biraj Bhakta committed to end traffic jam at Tankeshwor

Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, Lawmaker elected from Kathmandu -8 constituency on behalf of the Rastriya Swotantra Party, has expressed commitment to resolve the problem related to traffic jam in Tankeshwor – Kalimati area in Ward No. 13 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and preserve and protect Bishnumati corridor park. Speaking at a tea reception organized by KMC Ward No. 13 Management and Preservation Committee at KMC, Ward No. 13 Office Kalimati on Saturday Shrestha said, he has been working to introduce scientific traffic light system in Tankeshwor near Paropakar bridge to end the traffic jam in the area.

He also informed that he is actively working towards preserving and managing the Bishnumati Corridor Park with the involvement of local organizations. We will develop the park in such a way that elderly people will also get some space there to get access to sun bath during winter period, he pointed out. Parliament member Shrestha said that a coordination committee has been established in Ward No. 13 throuogh which he will learn the problems of the local people and try to resolve the with the participation of the people and organizations working in the area. I will also work towards managing income generating works for the women of Kathmandu – 8 constituency, said Shrestha. Speaking on the occasion Nepali Congress Lawmaker Sapana Rajbhandari said that she will spare her time in resolving the problems facing the people of the constituency such as drinking water and sanitation will through team works. Member of the Bagmati Province Assembly Shailendra Man Bajracharya underlined the need to provide employment opportunities to the youths of the region and expressed commitment to bring plans for generating employment for the youths, so that they dont need to go abroad to earn for their living. Acting chairman of Ward No. 13 Ram Babu Koirala underlined the need for rising above party ideology to resolve the problems facing the local people and assured to work in collaboration with variious organizations of the locality.

Dil Bahadur Manandhar, convenor of the committee, chaired the programme organized to welcome the elected members of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly of the constituency.
