India gifts walking sticks to disabled people

On the occasion of 31st International Year for Disabled Persons, B.P. Koirala Nepal – India Foundation gifted walking sticks (white canes) to the disabled persons amidst a programme organized by Disabled Care Nepal in Kathmandu on Sunday.

On the occasion First Secretary, Indian Embassy and (BPKIF) secretary Shahil Kumar handed over 93 white canes to the president of Disabled Care Nepal Birodh Khatiwada representing all the disabled persons. Altogether the BPKIF donated over 900 walking sticks to the organization to be used by disabled persons.

Speaking on the occasion secretary Kumar said, the foundation has served as a pool connecting peoples of Nepal and India adding this programme has further strengthened the ties. Khatiwada thanked the BPKIF and embassy of India for providing the assistance.
