Restriction of vehicle entry in New Road in Dashain

The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has prohibited the entry of vehicles during the afternoon for four days in view of the traffic in the New Road area during the festival. The traffic police has said that parking arrangements have been made in the Khula Manch by creating a diversion till evening until traffic pressure returns to normal. The vehicles will not be allowed to enter the New Road area on Ghatasthapana (today), Panchami (September 30), Shasti (October 1) and Fulpati (October 2).

The traffic has urged the vehicle drivers to assist in traffic management by not driving on the specified date and time. The restriction was made for the entry of vehicles in the New Road area in view of the rush of customers during Dashain.
