Tourism Minister Shrestna and Mayor Sah discuss tourism promotion

Kathmandu Metropolitan CIty’s Mayor Balendra Sah and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevan Ram Shrestha held meeting at the ministry at Singhdurbar on Monday. On the occasion minister Shrestha said the ministry will collaborate with KMC to implement the action plan formulated for recovering tourism industry which was hard hit by Covid 19 pandemic.

Minister Shrestha also shared with Mayor Sah regarding the night walk in the heritage sites of Kathmandu, Kirtipur, Patan and Bhaktapur with the objective of promoting tourism. Minister Shrestha also sought cooperation from the local governments of Kathmandu valley to promote tourism in the valley. He sought cooperation from KMC to launch heritage walk between Hanumandhoka and Swoyambhu. He informed that the ministry is planning to launch city bus service for facilitating tourists in Kathmandu.

On the occasion Mayor Sah informed the KMC’s plan to invite tourism ministers from SAARC countries during Indrajatra and sought government’s cooperation for preserving heritages of Kathmandu.
