Nepal government observed one-day national mourning for Saturday on the sad demise of former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe. A cabinet meeting on Friday decided to observe national mourning on July 9 in honour of the ex- PM of Japan, according to an aide to Prime Minister Deuba.
The Government has also expressed sympathy to the Government, the people of Japan and the family of Abe. Former Japanese PM was shot dead on Friday while participating in an election campaign.
Prime Minister Deuba said in a twitter message that he was “deeply saddened to learn the passing of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.” “My heartfelt condolences. He was not only a renowned world leader but also a good friend of Nepal,” said Deuba in the message adding “at this hour of grief, our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Japan and bereaved family members.”
