Indian female climber scales 4 eight thousanders within a season

An Indian female mountaineer scaled Mt Lhotse, the fourth highest peak in the world, Sunday morning making her 4th summit of the above 8000m peak this season.

Mountaineer Baljeet Kaur has successfully scaled Mt Lhotse on Sunday becoming the first Indian to have summited four eight-thou sanders in a single season, according to Pasang Sherpa, Director at Peak Promotion Pvt Ltd.

She successfully scaled world’s fourth highest peak with her guide Mingma Sherpa, he informed.

This is her 4th 8000m+ mountain in this spring season, according to Sherpa.

Baljeet and Mingma have summited Mt. Annapurna I (8091m) on 28 April 2022,  Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m) on 12 May 2022, Mt. Everest (8848.86m) on 21 May 2022 and Mt. Lhotse (8516m) on 22 May 2022, according to Pasang.
