Daily 1000 people benefitting from online service provided by Labour Ministry

Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security has made arrangements to provide compensation to the labourers and the kins of the labourers in case of death and accident. Now onward, those going for foreign employment and their kins can apply online for compensation in case of death and injuries, announced Labour Minister Krishna Kumar Shrestha. The labourers and their kins can now receive payments through electronic means in case of deaths and accidents while on duty, he told media persons during a press meet at the ministry on Monday.

The ministry has also made arrangements to provide labour approval through online making the service paperless, the minister said. The new arrangement has removed the service provided by middlemen by charging high fees, he added. At present daily 1,000 people are benefitted from online labour approval service being provided by the ministry, he informed.
