Patanjali Yoga Sutra Book Released

The Nepali version of the book titled “Patanjali Yoga Sutra” which includes commentary by Ravi Shankar was released the other day.  ”Patanjali Yoga Sutras” is a collection of sutras or brief notes authored by Maharshi Patanjali as a pathway to attain the highest state of human consciousness. India’s renowned spiritual Guru Ravi Shankar has written an enlightening commentary on these sutras. The book gives a simple explanation about the discipline of Yoga, Samadhi, Ishwar, Kriya Yoga, the causes of sorrow and the means of liberation from worldly suffering and Ashtanga Yoga. The English book based on Ravi Shankara’s commentary has been translated into Nepali by Surya Parajuli, an instructor at the Art of Living.

Renowned litterateur Satya Mohan Joshi, Dinesh Kashikar, Director of the School of Yoga, and Madhav Nepal, Instructor of the Art of Living have written forward for the book published by the Art of Living.

The Art of Living is a social organization registered in Nepal in the year 2060 BS. It has been organizing various to achieve its objective of a stress free mind and a programme for establishing a violence free society. The organization has been conducting various trainings related to stress management as well as serving at the forefront of disasters such as maintaining peace in conflict areas and earthquakes and Covid 19pandemic. In addition, to impart various knowledge based on Eastern philosophy and culture, from time to time, the Art of Living has been publishing and distributing useful books on spiritual knowledge based on teachings of Gurudeva Ravi Shankar.
