District Police Office, Tanhun has arrested actor Paul Shah (aka Purna Bikram Shah) after a 17-year-old singer filed a complaint accusing that he had sexually abused her with the false promise of marriage. Superintendent Rajendra Babu Regmi, chief of the District Police Office, Tanahun, confirmed that Shah was arrested on Sunday. It is learnt that the 32 year old actor reached himself to the police station and surrendered.
“Shah is in our custody,” said Regmi, refusing to provide more details.
On Wednesday, a teenage singer had filed a rape case against Shah at the District Police Office, Tanahu. The singer in her complaint said that Shah had repeatedly raped her with a false promise of marriage.
After the complaint was filed, police said they had launched a manhunt to nab the accused. Police said it had issued circulars to all police units across the country to arrest Shah.
