A meeting has been held between the Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Monday.
According to Surya Kiran Sharma, Press Coordinator of CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Prachanda, the meeting was held at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar on Monday. Discussions were held regarding the upcoming National Assembly election scheduled to be held on January 26 and the upcoming local elections.
He said that during the meeting between the two leaders, it was agreed to convene a meeting of the five-party alliance coordination committee on Tuesday.
Prachanda, chairman of the Maoist centre infected with COVID-19, had been receiving medical treatmnt in isolation from his private residence since last week. However, his report was negative during the PCR test conducted on Sunday. After this, Chairman Prachanda has resumed the political meetings.
