Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s scheduled visit to India has been canceled as the government of India postponed the Vibrant Gujarat Summit scheduled to take place between January 10 to 13. The Prime Minister’s four day visit to India starting from January 9 has been cancelled as the Gujarat Summit has been cancelled, said PM’s private secretariate sources.
PM Deuba was scheduled to leave for India on January to attend the summit in Gujarat on January 10.
The summit was postponed on Thursday due to a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases in the Indian state of Gujarat. Besides attending the summit PM Deuba, was also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Modi during the visit.
