Former Maoist leader C.P. Gajurerl has asked CPN-Maoist Centre to reclaim the land encroached by India before talking about unification of various Maoist factions. Underlying the need for forging unity among former Maoist factions and communist parties in the country, senior leader Gajurel put reclaiming of lands encroached by India as pre-condition for forging unity among various factions of the Maoist party. He was speaking as a guest during the Eighth general convention of the CPN-Maoist Centre in Kathmandu on Saturday.

“The doors for unification between Maoists will open after the encroached lands of Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpyadhura are reclaimed by the CPN (Maoist Center),” he pointed out.

Narayan Kaji Shrestha, senior leader of CPN-Maoist Centre said it is the main responsibility of the party to consolidate internal unity in the party so as to prevent foreign interference and to protect the country from any type of foreign intervention. “Our party will never bow down with any forces on the issue of nationalism,” he claimed.
