ILO hands over motorbikes and laptops to labour ministry

International Labour Organization (ILO) has handed over various materials required for reform in the labour administration to the Nepal government. DUring a programme organized at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, ILO’s country direcdtor Richard Hovard handed over various materials to Labour Minister Krishna Kumar Shrestha.

ILO has handed various logistics including five motorbikes and 24 laptop-printers to minister Shrestha. According to Harvard, ILO has been providing technical assistance to resolve various problems relating to the labourers, who were seeking jobs in foreign countries and those willing to work within the country.

Minister Shrestha on the occasion thanked ILO for providing continuous support and assistance to Nepal. In-country programme for dignified jobs 2018-2022 is currently underway in Nepal with the technical cooperation of the ILO. ILO has been actively involved in Nepal in the areas of promoting skill development and ending labour exploitation and child labour.
