The 19th and 20th Annual General Meeting of Independent Power Producers’ Association (IPPAN) is being held at Hotel Soaltee, Kathmandu on Tuesday. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to inaugurate the AGM of IPPAN. Finance Minister Janardan Sharma, Minister for Energy Pampha Bhushal, Managing Director of NEA Kulman Ghising among other high ranking officials of the government of Nepal will address the function. Leading stakeholders from private sector of Nepal are also attending the AGM.
During the programme agreement will be signed between Indian Power Exchange and Nepal Power Exchange and Nepal Hydro – Expo will be announced, according to a press release issued by IPPAN. On the occasion Nepal Hydropower Academy will also be launched. On the occasion, talks will be delivered by hydropower experts including Kulman Ghising, Ashish Garg, Vice – president IPPAN and Bhupendra Kumar Singh, director at Confederation of Indian Industry among others.
