Chitwan Association of Industries (CAI) and Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) are jointly organising the 6th Chitwan International Industrial Expo 2021 in December.
The three-day event will be held on 17-19 December at the Chitwan Expo Centre in Bharatpur, the organisers said at a press meet organised at the CNI on Sunday.
Surya Prasad Neupane, Vice-president of CAI, said that the exhibition will have more than 200 stalls of national and international traders and businesses. “To promote the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), we have allocated 30 stalls which will be provided free of cost to the SMEs and women entrepreneurs in the recommendations of SME Promotion Centre.”
Best SME exhibitors will be awarded by the centre. The fair will exhibit small equipment to large machines and infrastructure tools that are useful for the industrial development. It will also feature a display of various industrial equipments developed by the National Innovation Centre (NIC), said Neupane.The fair will be instrumental in supporting the industrial development in the nation, he pointed out.
Visitors will be allowed free entry at the event. Organisers said that the startups, producers and innovators of modern technology from various countries, producers of industrial goods, investors and managers, industry and business consultants, students and representatives of various organizations are the target visitors of the fair. “The event will also serve as the platform to make interaction between national and international investors and industrialists which will help in technology transfer and finding new markets for the goods produced in Nepal,” remarked Krishna Prasad Adhikari, Acting President of CNI.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mahabir Pun, Chairman of the NIC, said that the country should facilitate every investor and the NIC would always support them through the required innovation and technological advancements.
Thematic discussions and seminars on the industrial innovations, technology transfer and experience sharing will also be organised on the occasion, said Trilochan Kandel, President of CAI. The organisers are also trying to bring in Chinese and European machines through Indian and Nepali distributors. The event is being managed by Media Space Solutions and Futurex Trade Fair Events. It is supported by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, SME Promotion Centre, Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment of Bagmati Province, NIC, Federation of Nepalese Cottage and Small Industries, and various organisations and local governments in Chitwan district.
