26 years of age Sujita Basnet has been victorious and has worn the crown of Oriflame Miss Universe Nepal 2021. Last year the lady completed Miss Universe Nepal 2020 as first runner-up. She improved her position and bagged the title award this year.
In her consecutive second attempt at Miss Universe Nepal, 26 years of age Sujita Basnet has been victorious and has worn the crown of Oriflame Miss Universe Nepal 2021. Last year the lady completed Miss Universe Nepal 2020 as first runner-up. She improved her position and bagged the title award this year along with cash prize of rupees 10 lakh. Now she would officially represent Nepal at the 70th edition of Miss Universe 2021 being held on 12th December 2021 in Eilat, Israel.
In the finale, 25 years of age Nina Kant Mandal scored first runner-up position. This is Nina’s second attempt at Miss Universe Nepal. Last year Nina stood second runner-up at Miss Universe Nepal 2020. In the grand coronation of Miss Universe Nepal 2021 held at Hotel Yak and Yeti, Durbarmarg on 30th of October 2021, queen Sujita was also successful at the awards called Miss Fierce and Miss Fabulous while the first runner-up Nina was successful at Miss Lifestyle and Miss free and fearless. Besides Sujita and Nina, the top five finalists, along with the award of Social Impact leader, Rakshya Upreti earned second runner-up spot while Pratikshya Mahara Chhetri completed the event as third runner-up while Dr. Keshu Khadka bagged fourth runner-up position.
The grand coronation of Oriflame Miss Universe Nepal 2021, kicked off with the introduction of 16 contestants and then after the swimsuit session, the number went through the first cut of the event, which decided top ten. Among them, Rakshya Upreti got direct placement as the social impact leader while Sagun Gurung and Bibhuti Gautam made secured their positions at Top 10 via People’s Choice provision. The direct placements involved voting from the audience through IME Pay app. Besides these three who made to the top ten were Aarya Nishant, Brishti Acharya, Pratikshya Mahara Chhetri, Nina Kant Mandal, Dr. Keshu Khadka, Mandira Karki, and Sujita Basnet. The top ten ladies then faced the jury panel that included Managing Director for United Traders Syndicate Pvt. Ltd, Ritu Singh Vaidya, Media Person Sarita Gyawali, Communication specialist Mannsi Agrawal, Singer Indira Joshi, Miss Nepal 2013 Ishani Shrestha and Make-up artist Sneh Rana. From there on came the second cut of the event and the final five were decided who faced one common question. And on the basis of answers given by the finalists, the winner of the event got finalized.
