The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed 776 new cases of corona infections taking the country’s Covid-19 tally to 903,847.
As of Sunday, there are 19,201 corona active cases across the country. In the past 24 hours, 501 people have achieved recovery whereas 13 deaths have been reported, according to the ministry.
Of the total cases so far, 788,008 people, who were earlier infected with the virus have achieved recovery. Likewise, altogether 11,361 people died of covid – 19, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 97.3 per cent and the death rate is 1.4 per cent. There are currently 10,360 corona active people across Nepal. Meanwhile, 100,620 doses of Pfizer vaccines donated by the United States government are set to arrive in Kathmandu on Monday, according to sources at the US Embassy in Nepal. The vaccines are provided by the United States of America to help control the spread of COVID-19 pandemic as well as to accelerate vaccination drive in Nepal. The US has already donated 1.53 million doses of J&J vaccines to Nepal.
