The National Defence Course-2021 of India, visited Nepali Army Headquarters on Tuesday as a part of their weeklong visit of Nepal. During the visit, head of the delegation, Rear Admiral Dhiren Vig paid a courtesy call on Chief of the Army Staff Ge. Prabhuram Sharma at the latter’s office, according to a press release issued by Nepal Army headquarters. A presentation was also made to the delegation on various issues related to the Nepali Army followed by an interaction with the senior generals of the Nepali Army.
Gen Sharma in his welcome remarks expressed confidence that such visits play a key role in strengthening the existing ties between the two Armies and subsequently in addressing issues of bilateral security concern.
In a different program organized at the Nepal Army headquarters, the spouses of the visiting faculty members and students were welcomed at the office of the Nepali Army Wives Association.
The visiting delegation is scheduled to have courtesy meeting with the Minister of Defense, Minister of Finance and Minister of Foreign Affairs later on the same day. The delegation, which also includes students from Australia, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka, returned back Saturday upon completion of the visit.
