Std Chartered provides Rs.16.3 million to control Covid – 19

Standard Chartered UK signed an agreement with Save the Children International to provide USD 140,000 (equivalent to Rs 16.3 million) for Nepal’s Covid-19 response. The support will be used for the project ‘Life-saving equipment and materials support – Nepal Covid-19 Response,’ says The Standard Chartered Bank in Nepal.

The bank also hosted an event in Kathmandu recently to mark the agreement in the presence of Standard Chartered Nepal CEO Anirvan Ghosh Dastidar and Save the Children Nepal Deputy Director Tara Chhetry. “We feel grateful to be able to bring together our international network to contribute towards our country’s effort to combat the pandemic,” remarked Pranu Singh, the head of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing of Standard Chartered Nepal issuing a statement.“We are pleased to partner with Save the Children and believe that together we will be able to make a sustainable and tangible difference where it is most required in such challenging times.”
