As political uncertainty continues at the federal level and in some provincial levels people are suffering from non-response by the authorities concerned to urgent matters.

People suffering from COVID-19 disruptions and natural disaster are not getting adequate response from the government side.

Members of parliament have also begun talking about it. But political leaders are busy talking about their own party politics and nothing else, said senior politicians in Kathmandu on Monday.

The vaccination required for many people in 7 provinces is not available.

Flood rescue and relief measures in 35 districts including Melamchi and Manang have not been undertaken adequately, complain people.

With most provinces busy getting their policies, programmes and budget for the next fiscal year 2021-2022 passed through their assemblies, the provincial governments have not been able to respond to the public need.

Senior politicos stress the need to end current political deadlock for responding to the problems facing people.

High rise in market price is another problem troubling people at the moment. But the authorities concerned do not consider it as important.

Consumers are suffering most in such situation. But they have not been able to get addressed properly in this regard. Political party leaders in government and opposition should take the problem seriously and seek to address them directly. Otherwise people will lose trust in politics and the political leaders.
