As soon as two days after the Supreme Court annulled the cabinet expansions following the dissolution of the House of Representatives (lower house) of Federal Parliament, the existing the KP Sharma Oli – led Cabinet have been assigned additional ministerial portfolios to the ministers Bishnu Poudel, Krishna Gopal Shrestha, Basnata Kumar Nembang and Lilanath Shrestha.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari, on June 24, at the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Oli, assigned additional ministerial portfolios to the ministers.
With the latest reshuffle, Prime Minister Oli will take charge of Defence and Foreign Affairs ministries.
The ministers will have the following portfolios :
Bishnu Poudel – Finance, Industry, Commerce and Supply, Energy and Water Resources and Home Affairs
Krishna Gopal Shrestha – Education, Science and Technology, Forest and Environment, Youth and Sports, Labour and Employment and Health and Population
Basanta Kumar Nembag – Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Agriculture and Livestock Development, Communication and Information Technology and Urban Development
Lilanath Shrestha – Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Federal Affairs and General Administration.
